Sophie's Birthday Photos

These are some of Sophie's birthday pictures. It was almost impossible to get any good shots because she would not be still!!! She was too interested in everything else going on instead of getting her pictures taken. Excuse the "z" over the pictures...I had to get these online because I didn't buy the CD.

First Birthday!!!

Sophie turned one year old on Sunday, September 13th. I really can't believe that my little baby is already a year old! This year has flown by... She is so much fun and definitely has her own personality. She is usually a really good baby but still has her moments, especially when she is tired. She has been sleeping through the night (Thank God!) since she was about 5 months old and is such a good sleeper! She loves to eat and is now pretty much eating all table food. Her favorite is any type of fruit, especially watermelon. She is getting a little picky about vegetables lately but still eats them pretty well. We just started whole milk and she seems to be doing pretty well with it but she just doesn't want to drink a lot of anything. We are about to try to stop bottles and just drink from sippy cups but I'm nervous that she won't get near enough milk, we will see how it goes. She has been walking since about 10 months and definitely has it down now. She practically runs everywhere now and is a mess to keep up with! She babbles all of the time and can say Mama, Dada and more (I think). There are a few other words that I think she can say but she is not really consistent with them yet. She a lot of what we say now. Her favorite thing to do is read books which is wonderful, but mommy has all of the memorized now because we read them so much.

We just celebrated with Mimi, Big Daddy and YiaYia on Sunday for her actual birthday because Daddy had to work. Her real party is this weekend. Below are some pictures from Sunday. She also had her one year old pictures taken last week and I will try to get them on here if I can figure it out.

I just gave her a cupcake on Sunday because we let her dig into an actual cake for her pictures on Thursday. I thought she would just look at it and maybe play in it a little since she has never had anything like that before but she DUG into it and ate 1/2 of the icing off of the entire cake. Luckily she didn't get sick. I decided a cupcake was enough for this day...

Sophie's Nursery

I've never posted pictures of Sophie's nursery but thought I would take some pictures because soon she is changing rooms. Her little brother is going to take her room and she is moving across the hall to the bigger room. She will still have her same furniture, wall color, decorations, etc., just wanted to have pictures of her first room!

Sophie's first trip to SC beach!!!

Sophie finally got to go the the Atlantic coast several weeks ago. We went to the Isle of Palms for the day. The only beaches she had ever been to prior to that were in Hawaii (poor baby!). She had so much fun playing in the water and hanging out with Mimi and Big Daddy. She loved the waves and the sand! She was a mess at the end of the day with a TON of sand in her bathing suit but it didn't seem to bother her one bit!
