Sam's Baptism
Sam was baptized at our church on July 11, 2010. It was a very special day for us! Sam did well and didn't cry at all during the service. He actually had a big smile on his face while Amos, our pastor that baptized him, carried him down the aisle of the church after he was baptized. He wore the same outfit that Jon wore when he was baptized 30 years before so that also made it very special!!! I was a nervous wreck since he usually goes to the church nursery during the service but he did amazingly well. Sophie also got to stand up at the front of the church with all of us and did great too! We did take her to the nursery after the baptism so Jon and I didn't totally have a nervous breakdown trying to keep everyone quiet and happy! After church we had family come over to our house for lunch. It is always so nice to have all of our family together with us to celebrate! Sam definitely had a great day and was exhausted by the afternoon. Sophie also enjoyed seeing everyone and got plenty of attention herself!!! Jon and I are so thankful for our beautiful children and are so blessed to celebrate such a wonderful occasion!

Just hanging out at home...
These are a few random pictures from this summer. We have had a great summer!!!
Fun with the Holmes Family
We had a fun time with the Holmes' family in late July! We went over to their house for dinner and also got to have some fun in the pool. Sophie and Will had a good time! Sam got in the pool for a bit but, of course, there are no pictures of him...poor thing. We are looking to more fun time with the Holmes family in the future!!!

July 4th!!!
We had a great time over the 4th holiday! Sophie, Sam and I went to the lake to spend some time with family and friends on Saturday while Jon worked. We had lots of fun and sun and even a fun boat ride on Coulter's boat! Sophie had her first experience of "driving" a boat and loved it! We also got to see the Mathis crew for a little while. Lawson and Sophie always have the best time together. It is so much fun watching the grow up together and interact. I think Heather and I are in for some interesting times in the future by the way the two of them "scheme" and get into things! Jon got to join us on Sunday and we went back up to the lake for more fun. We had such a fun weekend!
