Boo at the Zoo!!!

Boo at the Zoo was so much fun this year with two little ones!!!  Sophie dressed up like Minnie Mouse so Sam, of course, was Mickey!  They were too cute together! I love dressing them up together! Dave and Uncle "Owl" also joined us for the festivities! Sophie was not shy at all about trick or treating once she discovered the result was getting candy! Her favorite part of the night was dancing with the other kids to the "Spooky DJ"" that they had. She was by far the youngest child out there but didn't seem to notice. Sam was a good sport but spent most of the night in the stroller or mommy's arms. Next year will definitely be interesting!

This was last year at Boo at the Zoo...my cute little ladybug is really growing up!

The Fair!!!

We had a good time at the State Fair this year.  Sophie was big enough to ride some of the kiddie rides and for the most part, really enjoyed herself.  There were a couple of rides that made her a little nervous but she got over it quickly (mostly with the help of ice cream and cotton candy!).  She also loved looking at the animals and got to go on her first pony ride!!!  Sam had a good time too, but mostly did a lot of people watching (like his mommy!).

Pumpkin Patch!!!

We went to the pumpkin patch before Halloween to pick the perfect pumpkin.  Sophie had a great time running around to find just the right one.  Sam enjoyed watching Sophie run around and he even enjoyed looking at all the pumpkins.  We eventually decided  the perfect big pumpkin and Sophie even got very own little pumpkin!!!

What a difference a year makes....Last year Sophie was 13 months old and Sam was on the way!!!

Early October 2010

We had a busy but great October this year.  These are just some random pictures of playing early in the month.  Sophie is such a big girl now and loves to play on any playground outside.  These pictures are from a Sunday afternoon when we went to Sesqui to play when the weather was nice.  Sophie loved playing and looking at all the "ducks" in the pond.  Sam had fun too, but was still a little small to fully enjoy the playground...before I know it he will be up there with her!!!

Edventure with the Qualio's-September 2010

We were lucky enough to have the Qualio's visit us for a couple of days back in September.  We had a great time with them!!! It was so nice catching up.  We had not seen them since Jon and Angie finished residency, which was over a year before (June 2009).  It is so crazy to see how much everyone has grown.  Ashlyn was a newborn when they left SC and Sophie was about 9 months (Sam wasn't around quite yet even though he was on the way).  Sophie and Ashlyn had a really good time playing at Edventure!!!  Can't wait to watch the little ones grow over the years!!!

Sophie's 2nd Birthday!!!

We celebrated Sophie's second birthday by having a party at our house. We got a bouncy house and she had a blast! It was really hot outside but she could have cared less...she just wanted to play outside and bounce, bounce, bounce!!! It was so much fun watching her play with her little friends! She is such a sweet little girl and in our opinion is ridiculously smart. She has really developed her own little personality in the past year. She is very opinionated about most things and luckily (I guess) is able to speak well enough to make herself clear about what she wants (or doesn't want). She loves to lay in her bed before taking a nap and "read" her books (she has many memorized). She also really loves to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Superwhy, Seasame Street, Clifford the Big Red Dog and Curious George. We definitely try to limit her t.v. watching time which usually isn't too difficult since she loves reading books and playing with her toys. She also started going to My Gym classes in September and absolutely LOVES it. She gets to play and sing songs with other little children her age. She asks all of the time if we can go to "Mommy's gym" or "your gym" when talking to me...I guess when I refer to it as My Gym she gets confused...I really can't believe that my baby is 2 years old...can't wait to see what this next year will bring!!!

Her cake was really cute. A nurse who works with me made it and did a wonderful job!!!

Checking out her new backpack that Aunt Heather gave her...too cute!

Next morning on her car, she loves this thing and Sam really likes it too (the Pinkalicious theme doesn't bother him near as much as Daddy)
